We’ve been recommended South Hill by a number of different people both for fish and chips and for Chinese. Today we placed a very large order of mostly Chinese food over the phone for my father in law’s birthday lunch. They had it all ready in good time, and the food has been utterly delicious. The fried options were crispy, tasty and not at all greasy, and the sauced options were delicate and fresh. The king prawns in ginger and prawn toast were exceptionally good. Because these guys only take cash, we haven’t generally thought to order here; they are one of only a small number of Chinese takeaways that are open at lunchtimes. But it’s head and shoulders above our other options, so in spite of having to stop at a cash machine on the way, I feel these folks will become our top choice going forwards 😁

Great place. Food is very good, Chinese or fish and chips. It does get busy with wait times up to 45 minutes. You can call and order for collection. All the people working here are friendly.

Was recommended by a work colleague, very nice Chinese food, with a good selection on the menu. Pricing is reasonable with good portion sizes. Also fish & chips, if you prefer your typical cod, chips and battered sausage. Overall very good. And definitely very good quality food options.

By far the best Chinese takeaway in the wider Wycombe area. The food is delicious, nicely cooked and has an authentic, clean, homemade taste. Better still, the pricing is way better value than anywhere else - you will pay 20-25% more in other places. Final bonus is that it also offers a full, traditional English chip-shop menu, so it's great if you have friends or family members who just fancy fish and chips etc. Family owned, very friendly staff and the place is clearly valued by the local community. The only two minor negatives are that card payments are not accepted - cash only, and the vegetarian options are a little limited. But this is outweighed by all the good stuff.

So. We, The Spain family moved to Holmer Green in 1987. We have been visiting Turners Place, Fishing and Chip Shop ever since. Please remember pre-text, teletex and email.... from then, the age of 7, to now age 47! .... We venture back to the folks we know we can get fresh and friendly service. The days of queuing round the block, to text and collect are miles apart! Remember chat is networking and networking is the new social activity!
